Nine years ago, I walked into Carpe Diem Pro Te seeking an organic hair colour and a bit of a trim. What I received, and continue to do so, was so much more.

After years of feeling anxious every time I went to the hairdresser, a dear friend recommended Anita – and now I have found a hairdresser and another friend for life! Anita is an artist and she uses her talents to shape hair so that it perfectly suits every person who has the honour of sitting in her chair. I wouldn’t dream of getting my hair cut anywhere else. I went to Anita for assistance in changing my hair colour. I used chemical hair dye since I was 16 but wanted to change to only natural hair dyes. My hair was fairly damaged from constant chemical hair colours. With Anita's help I managed to get a natural colour that I liked and it actually worked and stayed in my hair. Anita was super lovely and extremely helpful. I asked many questions and called and texted her frequently. Each time she was glad to help, very friendly and quick to help in anyway possible. Thank you once again Anita. I am very very pleased with all you have done for me.

Chemical overload forced me to find alternatives to chemical hair colours and thank goodness I found Anita. She is a great cutter and the Logona colours are beautiful. My hair is soft and shiny after a colour and I have had no reactions to them. My hair looks like someone spent a lot of time doing foils, but it's all down to the natural Logona colours blending with my natural hair colour. It's great to be able to go to the hairdresser and not have to breathe in chemical smells.

I have been going to Anita for about 5 years for my hair colour. I really look forward to my visits with her as the whole experience is so lovely. I get a cup of coffee and lots of kind words. She is very interested in all aspects of healthy living so there is lots to discuss. The visit goes by too quickly but I am always refreshed by it. I've never seen another hairdresser take so much care when applying hair colour. It's a real work of art the way she coils small sections of hair around on top of the head. She makes it look so easy while making sure every single strand gets its fair share of the colour. I love the fact that the salon is a place of calm and welcome. There is no loud music blaring out and young hairdressers talking about their boyfriends over the music. I come away from a visit with Anita feeling very relaxed. The Logona hair colour itself is such a good product with ingredients from nature - rhubarb, henna, jojoba oil, beetroot, coffee etc. No nasties in this product, quite unlike ALL of the other hair dyes out there with varying quantities of nasty cancer-causing chemicals in them. The only negative if you can call it that, is the fact that the colour I use has to be left on for 4 hours to achieve the best result, however, I think that is a small price to pay for being able to use a hair dye without the nasty chemicals in. I don't know if everyone needs to leave their colour on for that long though.

It's not an effort to review a hair cut/ colour experience with Anita because it is such a pleasurable one. Her salon has a lovely relaxed feeling about it and she takes excellent care of you while you are there. A cup of tea, a little chocolate and some good conversation is always welcome. I've been having the PLANT BASED colour treatments with Anita since she bagan doing them a few years ago and my hair has never felt so good. I've never looked forward to getting grey hairs as much as I do now because the more greys you have the better the colour!! It does need to stay on for a couple of hours so you leave the salon with a black towel on your head but the results are totally worth it. The colour is amazing and the hair is incredibly soft and healthy. No more stinging eyes from horrid chemicals. Everyone should give it a try. You won't regret it.

It is like finding a hidden treasure when you find Anita's Carpe Diem Pro Te. Based on past experiences I believed my hair was difficult to style and that the chances of having a consistent hair colour was not possible. Then a friend told me 4 years ago about this very personal stylist who is so passionate about you. My hair condition has been restored through the use of henna and I am growing my hair. Anita keeps my hair in a very easy to manage style with her exceptional cutting skills.
As for the henna, it is very comforting not to be putting chemicals in my hair anymore. The regrowth is barely noticeable unlike the zebra lick from chemical dyes. Must be magic. Each time the henna nourishes my have and the added bonus if you get your very own black turban for the journey home - complete with sparkles.
Then there is the experience of being there where you are Anita's most important person who she has set her time aside for. Never any rushing and you are spoilt with fresh coffee and chocolate. It is always a highlight in my day.
I highly recommend going to Carpe Diem Pro Te.
